Diploma in Design for Animation and Film
Pre requisite: Fine Art Certification /Diploma /Degree or Art Foundation
OBJECTIVE:
The objective of the course is to edify and train students in the designing process of animation production. This includes conceptual/visual development from a script, film language, character design (traditional &digital), environment design (traditional &digital), and property design (traditional &digital),, storyboarding (traditional &digital),, working with a sound track, slugging/timing a story board, creating an animatic /leica reel, layout, art direction/color styling and creating color keys for the back grounds. The student will develop a port folio by the end of the course.
METHODOLOGY:
The student shall be educated with a combination of theory/practical/assignment based pedagogy.

GRADING AND EVALUATION:
A series of subject based assessment and evaluation will be done time to time. There shall be a counseling session after every evaluation to guide the student further. The grading pattern shall be the same as the other courses. A copy of the evaluation sheet shall be sent to the parent. The respective faculty shall be available for any query regarding the evaluation for a specific time. Daily assignments and exercises will be evaluated and the faculty will record the performance.
ATTENDENCE:
Regular attendance is a must for all the courses. A minimum of 85% attendance is a must for the certification. An absence shall be informed earlier and approved by the respective faculty. The student shall be present in the class room well in advance. One will not be encouraged to join a class room session after it has started.

- >> Attendance & punctuality are mandatory, monitored, and strictly enforced!
- >> Student will be counted late if he/she arrives more than 15 minutes after the scheduled starting time for the class. Three late arrivals will equal one absence.
- >> There are no "excused" absences for the class.
CERTIFICATION:
Certification shall be done based on the evaluation of assessments and attendance record. The grading and performance will be mentioned in the transcript attached along. In the case of non-eligibility the student can attend another assessment on a given date.
